Are you holding on to a grudge, painful relationship or a saddening memory? 

It is not worth holding on to something that gives you nothing but pain. We have different experiences in life, some are great and some not too good. We often hold on to these undesired experiences of life because we cannot justify to ourselves that someone can do undesired or some situations can go beyond our control. Usually we find it hard to let go of people because we have deep emotions attached to them and unwanted situations because they have impacted our life negatively. The more we think about it, the harder it gets because we freshen up this memories every moment and they get stored deeply in our memories. To allow a memory to fade away you must not hold on to it. Rather than thinking about it, think what you have learnt and how you could use these lessons to improve your life. Divert your mind and attention into something you enjoy doing because new experiences will override old ones. It is undoubtedly hard but you must let go. Once you experience the freedom, you will look back and wonder, how unrealistic you were, to hold on to it.
