Philips has unveiled a new QHD HDR600 monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate in China. It is a 27-inch monitor with model number 27M1F5500P and a nano IPS screen. The new monitor has a 1ms grayscale response time and up to 450 nits of typical brightness. The new monitor has the DisplayHDR600 certification and offers immersive viewing.
The Philips monitor has a 10bit color depth, 100% sRGB, 98% DCI-P3 color gamut, and the Delta E color standard below 2. The 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms grayscale response time of the new Philips monitor mean that it could be ventured into gaming applications. It is also suited for streaming videos via streaming networks.
There are few details at this time relating to the audio capabilities of the new monitor. Connectivity options include HDMI, DP, and USB upstream/ downstream. The screen has a 4-sided micro-frame and the base can be adjusted across different orientations.
The original price of the Philips 27M1F5500P monitor is 5,499 yuan ($810) but its launch price is 3,699 yuan ($545). The new monitor is scheduled to go on sale on August 24 at 8.00 pm.
