Apple WatchOS 26 to Bring Third-Party Widgets and Full Customization in Control Center

Apple is gearing up for its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) next week, where major software updates are expected across its platforms. One of the highlights could be watchOS 26, which is rumored to introduce a fresh visual overhaul and potentially a new naming scheme across Apple’s operating systems.
According to a recent report from 9to5Mac, watchOS 26 will finally allow third-party widgets in the Control Center — a feature long-requested by Apple Watch users. Until now, the Control Center has only supported Apple’s built-in apps and toggles.

What’s more, Apple Watch owners will reportedly be able to fully customize widget placement via the Apple Watch app on their iPhone, giving users more control over their smartwatch interface than ever before.

Stay tuned for full details at WWDC 2025!
