Fairphone 6 Launches with Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, 8-Year Software Support, and Modular Design
Fairphone has officially unveiled its latest sustainable smartphone—the Fairphone 6 (also called Fairphone Gen 6). Known for its ethical production and easy repairability, the new Fairphone 6 brings meaningful upgrades while staying true to its mission of sustainable tech.
The handset is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, paired with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage (expandable via microSDXC). It runs on a clean Android 15 OS, and users can also choose a privacy-focused version with /e/OS, which removes Google services.
Fairphone 6 sports a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display with FHD+ resolution, 10–120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 1,400 nits brightness, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. Thanks to a smaller screen, the phone is now lighter and more compact than its predecessor.
The phone houses a 50MP Sony Lytia 700C main camera with OIS, a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 32MP selfie shooter. It features IP55 water/dust resistance, a matte composite body, and is drop-resistant up to 1.5 meters.
One of the standout new features is its modular accessory system—users can unscrew the back to attach a card holder, lanyard, or finger loop. There's also a new yellow switch that activates “Moments,” a minimalist monochrome mode limited to just five essential apps—perfect for digital detox.
Fairphone continues its commitment to longevity with a 5-year warranty, 8 years of software updates, and e-waste neutral certification. The 4,415mAh battery supports 30W fast charging and is easily replaceable.
Fairphone 6 is available in Cloud White, Forest Green, and Horizon Black. The Android 15 version is priced at €599, while the /e/OS variant starts at €649.
