Kia EV2 Coupe: Stylish New Entry-Level Electric SUV Spotted Ahead of 2026 Launch

In a bold move, Kia is expanding its affordable electric vehicle lineup with a stylish new variant of its upcoming EV2. Even before the standard EV2 has hit the roads, a sleek Kia EV2 Coupe has been spotted, signaling the automaker’s aggressive push into the European budget EV segment.
Recently leaked images from Korea show the Kia EV2 Coupe on a car carrier, hinting at a more dynamic design direction. While it retains the same front and rear styling as the regular EV2, the Coupe transforms dramatically at the C-pillar. The roof slopes down in a sportier fashion, drawing comparisons to the Genesis GV60, Hyundai’s premium EV crossover.
Originally unveiled as a concept at Kia EV Day, the standard EV2 is already breaking the mold. Smaller than the EV3, it boasts a high-riding stance, bold wheel arches, and proportions that give it a larger-than-life road presence. These are hallmarks of Kia’s "Opposites United" design philosophy, which blends natural contours with technical, futuristic styling.

The Coupe model builds on this with exclusive touches. Spy shots show pixelated LED turn signals embedded in the side mirrors—an unmistakable nod to its electric DNA. Unlike the vertical taillights seen on recent Kia EVs, this Coupe prototype sports a horizontal rear light bar, suggesting an effort to visually distinguish it from the standard EV2. Whether this detail carries over to production remains to be seen.

Inside, both models will feature Kia’s new ccNC (Connected Car Navigation Cockpit) system. This includes a panoramic curved display integrating dual 12.3-inch screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment system. Despite its affordable pricing, the EV2 promises a spacious, high-tech cabin experience thanks to Kia’s dedicated EV platform.

Kia has confirmed that it is targeting a starting price of around €29,700 for the EV2 in the UK—underpricing rivals like the new EV3, which starts at €39,225. This pricing strategy could make the EV2 a serious contender among Europe’s compact EVs. The official launch is scheduled for 2026, with availability across Europe and other global markets.
