Lava Storm Play to Launch as India’s First Dimensity 7060 Smartphone, Storm Lite Also Coming Soon

Lava is set to shake up the Indian smartphone market again. After launching the Dimensity 6080-powered Lava Storm in December 2023 at a special price of INR 11,999 ($140/€120), the homegrown brand is gearing up to launch the Lava Storm Play, India’s first smartphone powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 chipset.

Targeted at young mobile gamers, the Lava Storm Play will feature LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, promising faster performance and smoother gameplay. However, Lava is keeping full specifications under wraps for now.

Joining the Storm Play is the Lava Storm Lite, which is expected to feature a Dimensity 7025 SoC, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, and a 6.78-inch 120Hz HD+ LCD panel, according to leaks.

Both devices will be available soon via Lava’s official website and Amazon India. More details are likely to be revealed as the launch nears.
