Lucid Air Finally Adds Android Auto in Major Software Update — Gravity SUV to Follow

Lucid Motors has officially rolled out Android Auto support to all Lucid Air models, addressing one of the most requested features from its growing EV community. While the luxury electric sedan is praised for its exceptional range and sleek design, the absence of Android Auto integration had long been a sticking point for Android users.
Now, with the release of Lucid UX version 2.7.0, Android Auto is finally available, allowing users to seamlessly project their favorite apps—like Google Maps, Spotify, and WhatsApp—onto the Air’s expansive 34-inch Glass Cockpit display.

Wireless & Wired Support Depending on Android Version

Wireless Android Auto is available for devices running Android 11 and up

Wired connection is required for phones on Android 9 or 10
According to Dr. Jean-Philippe Gauthier, Lucid's Head of Software Engineering, this feature was a top priority due to high customer demand.

Looking Ahead: Lucid Gravity SUV

Lucid also confirmed that its upcoming Gravity electric SUV will support both Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay from day one. The Gravity Grand Touring, available now, starts at $94,900, offering a whopping 828 horsepower and up to 724 km of range. A more affordable Touring variant will launch later this year starting at $79,900.

Lucid's Aggressive Push in 2025

Lucid plans to ramp up production significantly in 2025, targeting 20,000 vehicles, more than double its 2024 output. To boost sales, Lucid is slashing prices on the 2025 Air sedan lineup:
Air Pure: Starts at $69,900, EPA-rated range of 676 km

Air Touring: From $78,900

Air Grand Touring: 819 hp, up to 824 km range, priced at $110,900

Select models are currently seeing discounts of over $30,000

Lucid’s latest update and price strategy signal a strong push to grow its user base and remain competitive in the high-performance EV space.
