Arcfox T1 Unveiled: Affordable Electric Hatchback Launches with Stylish Design and €9,000 Price Tag

The competition in the affordable EV segment just got a lot more intense. Arcfox, the electric vehicle brand under Chinese automaker BAIC, has officially revealed its all-new T1 hatchback—a budget-friendly electric car with modern styling, practical dimensions, and a competitive price starting at around RMB 70,000 (~€9,000).
Targeting the Budget EV Sweet Spot

Pre-sales for the Arcfox T1 are expected to begin in late August, placing it in direct competition with popular low-cost EVs like the BYD Seagull and Geely Xingyuan. Arcfox is betting big on its new “Arc-Flow” design language, which delivers a sportier, more premium aesthetic than many vehicles in this price range.
Eye-Catching Design on a Budget

The T1 sports clean lines, a two-tone paint scheme, and standout 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels—a rare touch in this price segment. A subtle rear spoiler adds to the athletic profile. Overall, it’s a compact hatchback with a premium stance, engineered for urban drivers who want value without sacrificing style.

Dimensions & Driving Dynamics

Length: 4,337 mm

Width: 1,860 mm

Height: 1,572 mm

Wheelbase: 2,770 mm

These dimensions give the T1 excellent urban maneuverability, while the long wheelbase helps improve interior space and driving stability.
Performance & Range

Under the hood (or floor), the Arcfox T1 is powered by a front-mounted electric motor generating 70 kW (94 hp). It’s no rocket, but more than sufficient for city commutes and daily drives. Power is drawn from a lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery supplied by CALB, known for its affordability and long cycle life.

Two battery options will be available:

41.7 kWh battery: up to 410 km CLTC range

42.3 kWh battery: up to 425 km CLTC range

While CLTC figures are typically optimistic, these are still impressive numbers for a sub-€10,000 EV.
Market Outlook

The Arcfox T1 enters a hotly contested space dominated by best-sellers. In June alone, Geely Xingyuan and BYD Seagull moved over 40,000 and 30,000 units respectively. But Arcfox believes its sharp design, generous feature set, and aggressive pricing will give the T1 a solid foothold in China’s growing entry-level EV market.
