Beijing Hyundai Elexio Interior Revealed: 27-Inch Display, Smart Storage & Up to 700km Range

Following its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show, Beijing Hyundai has now officially unveiled the interior of the Elexio EV, ahead of its Q3 2025 launch. Designed specifically for the Chinese electric vehicle market, the Elexio marks a major shift in Hyundai’s strategy—focusing on local development, supply chains, and features tailored to Chinese consumer preferences.
The most eye-catching element inside the cabin is the massive 27-inch dual-screen display that spans across the dashboard. With 4K resolution and 1,000 nits brightness, this immersive screen handles both infotainment and driving data. Complementing the tech-forward cockpit is a modern steering wheel with paddle shifters, used not for gear changes, but to control four levels of regenerative braking, including a one-pedal driving mode.
Practicality hasn’t been overlooked either. The center console includes dual wireless charging pads, and the Elexio packs 29 storage compartments throughout the cabin—ranging from a sliding privacy box to expandable dual-way cup holders. It’s clear Hyundai is targeting Chinese families who value functionality as much as innovation.

Built on Hyundai’s Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP)—the same architecture behind the Ioniq 5—the Elexio will launch in two variants:
FWD version with a 160 kW single motor

AWD version with an additional 73 kW rear motor, delivering 233 kW (312 hp) total output

Top speed is electronically limited to 185 km/h, and powering the Elexio is a lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery supplied by FinDreams, a BYD subsidiary. Hyundai estimates a driving range of up to 700 km based on China’s CLTC test cycle.
As Hyundai shifts from global design to China-specific EV development, the Elexio is more than just a car—it's a strategic pivot aimed at survival in the world’s most competitive EV market. With its high-tech features, local production, and trusted battery technology, the Elexio aims to compete with China's top domestic EVs.
