Exynos 2600 SoC Spotted on Geekbench: Early Benchmark Scores and Galaxy S26 Integration Hints
Samsung unveiled its Exynos 2500 SoC just last month, powering the new Galaxy Z Flip7, which officially went on sale yesterday. While the company remains tight-lipped about its next-generation Exynos 2600 SoC, a new Geekbench listing gives us a sneak peek into what's coming.
A Samsung engineering device with the model number S5E9965 was spotted on Geekbench, revealing some exciting details about the Exynos 2600 chip. It features a deca-core CPU with a 1+3+6 architecture: one prime core clocked at 3.55GHz, three performance cores at 2.96GHz, and six efficiency cores running at 2.46GHz. Handling the graphics is Samsung’s latest Xclipse 960 GPU.
The test device was equipped with 12GB RAM and ran Android 16, scoring 2,155 points in single-core and 7,788 in multi-core tests. For comparison, the Exynos 2500 inside the Galaxy Z Flip7 managed 2,099 and 7,433 points, while the Snapdragon 8 Elite in the Galaxy Z Fold7 scored a much higher 2,910 (single-core) and 9,152 (multi-core).
Galaxy Z Flip7 Pricing:
256GB + 12GB RAM – $1,099.99
512GB + 12GB RAM – $1,201.16
Galaxy Z Fold7 Pricing:
256GB + 12GB RAM – $1,999.99
512GB + 12GB RAM – $2,099.99
Before drawing any conclusions, remember:
1. The Exynos 2600 is still in development — the CPU clock speeds and performance figures are likely to improve.
2. The final retail version will likely deliver better real-world performance.
According to Bloomberg, Samsung is considering using both Exynos 2600 and Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chips for the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, expected to launch in January 2026. It's speculated that the Exynos 2600 will power the base Galaxy S26, while the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will be reserved for the Galaxy S26 Ultra and the all-new Galaxy S26 Edge, which may replace the previous Plus model.
