Huawei & BAIC Unveil Stelato S9T: A Smart Electric Wagon with 816KM Range and High-Tech ADS

Huawei and BAIC Group have officially revealed the Stelato S9T, a sleek electric station wagon that blends cutting-edge tech with executive-class practicality. The new model, part of the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA), is expected to officially launch this fall and marks a bold move into the emerging EV wagon segment in China.
Finished in a distinctive "Wonderland Green", the S9T isn't just a stretched version of the Stelato S9 sedan. While it keeps signature elements like Galaxy headlights, hidden door handles, and multi-spoke wheels, it features a longer roofline and added roof racks for enhanced practicality. At the rear, a fresh Nebula taillight design sets it apart visually.
The S9T showcases Huawei’s advanced Qiankun ADS (Advanced Driving System), highlighted by visible LiDAR units on the roof and fenders. This setup paves the way for autonomous driving capabilities, a competitive edge in China's fast-evolving EV landscape.

While full specifications are yet to be confirmed, expect the same powertrain options as the S9 sedan:
All-electric RWD: 227 kW (304 hp), 100 kWh battery, 816 km range

All-electric AWD: Additional 158 kW (212 hp) motor, 721 km range

EREV variant: 1.5L range-extending generator, up to 1,355 km total range with larger 53.4 kWh battery

The S9T is positioned as a luxury executive-class EV, based on the S9’s dimensions: 5,160 mm long, 1,987 mm wide, and 1,486 mm tall, with a 3,050 mm wheelbase.
Though wagons remain a niche in China, shifting consumer tastes—spurred by brands like Nio and Zeekr—suggest an emerging opportunity. Huawei and BAIC aim to ride this wave with the S9T, offering a blend of long-range performance, luxury, and next-gen smart tech.

Expected Price Range: RMB 309,800 to RMB 449,800 (€36,900 – €53,500)
