Lynk & Co Z20 Gets Massive Price Cut in China — New Budget Models Start at Just €13,000

China’s electric car market has transformed into a high-stakes battlefield, and Lynk & Co just fired a major shot. The automaker has launched two new, more affordable versions of its Z20 compact EV (known in Europe as the Lynk & Co 02), bringing the starting price down to just RMB 109,900 (~€13,000) — a bold move in the ultra-competitive EV landscape.
So how does Lynk & Co manage to slice thousands off the price tag while still delivering a premium experience? The answer lies in smart engineering and strategic feature adjustments.

Power and Performance Tweaks

The new entry-level Z20 trims feature a reduced motor output of 175 kW (235 hp) — down from 250 kW — and a slightly smaller battery, which cuts the range from 530 km to 430 km. It’s still more than enough for daily urban driving, especially at this price point. The car now comes with 18-inch wheels instead of 19s, and the 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system is now optional.

A fresh “Fiji Green” paint option also debuts with the new models, adding more variety for style-conscious buyers.

Same Bold Look, Same Spacious Interior

Despite the cost savings, Lynk & Co kept the signature styling of the Z20 intact. That means you still get the brand’s “The Next Day” design language, with its frameless doors, sleek lines, and hidden rain gutters.

Dimensions remain unchanged:

Length: 4,460 mm

Width: 1,845 mm

Height: 1,573 mm

Wheelbase: 2,755 mm

Inside, the tech-rich experience continues with a 15.4-inch central touchscreen, a 13.8-inch head-up display, and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster.
One standout feature that remains is the “Dynamic Island” center console — a flexible modular space that can transform into a pet carrier, storage tray, or even a mini coffee bar, adding a level of personalization rarely found at this price range.

Built on SEA Architecture, Loaded with Safety

Underpinning the Z20 is Geely’s SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform. It features a MacPherson front suspension and five-link independent rear suspension, offering refined handling for a compact EV.

Other premium features include:

Brembo ventilated disc brakes

Bosch One-box brake controller

Seven airbags

High-strength steel body structure

Five-star Euro NCAP safety rating

More Features, Wider Reach
Lynk & Co has already delivered over 27,000 Z20 units since its launch in December. Now, with these new budget trims and a recent software update that adds remote parking, enhanced sentry mode, and new in-car apps, the company is clearly aiming to expand its EV footprint dramatically in both China and international markets.

This aggressive pricing strategy positions the Lynk & Co Z20 as one of the most compelling compact EVs in the world’s largest electric car market.
