Mercedes-Benz Unveils All-Electric GLC and More at IAA MOBILITY 2025: A Bold Leap into the EV Future

Mercedes-Benz is taking a massive leap into the electric era by electrifying one of its most successful models — the GLC. Long a top-seller in the brand’s global lineup, the gasoline-powered GLC has been a benchmark of luxury, practicality, and performance. Now, at the IAA MOBILITY 2025 show in Munich (September 9–14), the German automaker will debut the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLC with EQ Technology, positioning it as the “new face of the brand.”
Transitioning a best-seller like the GLC to an electric vehicle (EV) is a bold and high-stakes move, but Mercedes is betting big. The brand promises the new electric GLC will retain the “iconic, versatile, and intuitive” appeal that made the original such a success, while firmly embracing the future of sustainable mobility.

What Else to Expect from Mercedes-Benz at IAA MOBILITY 2025:
Alongside the electric GLC, Mercedes-Benz is unveiling a wide range of electric and hybrid innovations:

New CLA Family: Includes both electric and hybrid models.

All-Electric CLA Shooting Brake: A sleek new entrant in the luxury EV wagon category.

CONCEPT AMG GT XX: A futuristic performance EV concept built on the AMG.EA platform, previewing what could become Mercedes-AMG’s most powerful electric production car.
VLE Grand Limousine Prototype: An all-electric luxury sedan poised to launch in 2026.

Ride Along with the Future of Driving

Visitors won’t just get to see the cars—they’ll get to experience them. Mercedes will have over 30 electrified vehicles on-site for passenger rides. Highlights include:

MB.DRIVE ASSIST PRO Demo: Co-driving experience in a CLA showcasing automated point-to-point driving.

DRIVE PILOT Demo: Test rides in the EQS and S-Class, showcasing Mercedes' advanced hands-free driving tech.

Two Locations, One Electric Vision

Mercedes’ presence at IAA MOBILITY 2025 is split across two venues:

Open Space at Apothekenhof: Public showcase of new models, ride-alongs, and live experiences.
Summit at Messe München: Industry-focused exhibit featuring the GLC EV, CLA Shooting Brake, AMG GT XX Concept, and more. All major unveilings will also be livestreamed for global audiences.

This event marks one of the most ambitious product rollouts in Mercedes-Benz history as the brand redefines its legacy through electric innovation.
