Nothing Headphone (1) Debuts With KEF-Tuned Audio, 80-Hour Battery & Signature Transparent Design
Nothing began its journey with the Ear (1) wireless earbuds, and now it's stepping into the premium over-ear segment with the launch of its first headphones — the Nothing Headphone (1).
Staying true to the brand’s DNA, Headphone (1) features the iconic transparent aesthetic on the outer earcups. But this time, it’s not just about looks — these cans are aimed squarely at Sony, Bose, and Sennheiser’s noise-cancelling flagships.
The headphones were co-developed with British audiophile brand KEF, boasting 40mm dynamic drivers and custom-tuned acoustic chambers. Audio profiles can be fine-tuned with an eight-band equalizer via the Nothing X app, and the headphones support AAC, SBC, and LDAC codecs for high-quality streaming.
For noise cancellation, Headphone (1) offers a 42dB hybrid ANC system powered by six microphones. You get Bluetooth 5.3 with dual-device pairing, plus support for Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair. There's also in-ear detection for automatic media control.
At 329 grams, the headphones are reasonably lightweight and offer IP52 dust and splash resistance. Physical controls include a volume roller, a song navigation paddle, and a programmable button for switching ANC modes, summoning your voice assistant, or handling calls.
Battery life is a standout feature — up to 80 hours of playback without ANC, thanks to a 1,040mAh battery. Charging is done over USB-C, and there’s a 3.5mm jack for wired use.
The Nothing Headphone (1) is available in Black and White, priced at $299 / €299 / £299 / ₹21,999. Sales begin July 15 via nothing.tech and partner retailers.
