Nothing Phone (3) Official: Major Redesign, Glyph Matrix, Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 & 50MP Quad Cameras
Nothing has officially launched the Nothing Phone (3), nearly two years after the Phone (2). And this time, it’s not just an iterative upgrade – the new flagship brings a bold design, powerful internals, and a new take on the Glyph Interface.
Redesigned Back with Glyph Matrix
Staying true to Nothing’s design-first philosophy, the Phone (3) debuts a three-column grid layout on the rear, along with an off-centered periscope zoom camera at the top-right corner. It’s certainly a bold look that sets it apart from anything else on the market.
The Glyph Interface has now evolved into the Glyph Matrix – a monochrome dot display made of 489 individual LEDs. It’s not just about notifications anymore. Users can customize it with images, app-specific alerts, animations, and even mini-games like Rock Paper Scissors, Magic 8 Ball, and Spin the Bottle.
A new Glyph Button (a capacitive sensor below the Matrix) lets you scroll through different modes via haptic feedback – adding functionality to the flair.
Flagship Camera Setup
Nothing Phone (3) steps up its camera game with a quad 50MP setup:
50MP 1/1.3" main sensor with OIS
50MP 3x periscope zoom lens
50MP 114° ultrawide
50MP front-facing selfie camera
This marks the most powerful imaging system on a Nothing phone yet.
Display & Build
The 6.67-inch AMOLED display returns with slimmer bezels, FHD+ resolution, and an adaptive 30-120Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness hits an impressive 4,500 nits for HDR content.
Build quality is premium – aluminum frame, Gorilla Glass Victus on the back, Gorilla Glass 7i on the front, and IP68 rating (a first for the brand).
Performance & Software
Under the hood is the new Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, paired with a 5,150 mAh silicon-carbon battery for improved power efficiency and longevity.
Running on Nothing OS 3.5 based on Android 15, the experience remains clean and fluid. Nothing also confirmed that Nothing OS 4 is coming later this quarter.
We’ll have our detailed review soon – stay tuned!
