Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7: Sleeker Than Ever, But Still Too Pricey for Many
Samsung’s latest foldables — the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 — have officially arrived, bringing thinner profiles, lighter builds, and upgraded internals. But according to last week’s poll, none of that matters as much as one key factor: price.
While the Galaxy Z Fold7 has drawn significant attention, most people fall into two clear camps — those who can justify its premium pricing, and those who simply can’t. Unfortunately for Samsung, the latter group appears to be slightly larger.
Hardware complaints were relatively minor, mostly targeting the battery capacity and charging speeds, but these issues weren’t deal-breakers for the majority. More concerning was the comparison to competing foldables — many feel they can get better value elsewhere, though this heavily depends on regional availability.
The Galaxy Z Flip7 saw similar trends. It was quite popular in the poll, with a nearly even split between people who thought the price was fair and those who didn’t — although in this case, more users leaned toward “the price is right.”
The debate over horizontal vs. vertical foldables sparked some heated discussion, which we’ll dive into in a future poll.
As for the budget-friendly Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, it was meant to satisfy those seeking a cheaper flip phone. And while it is more affordable than the standard Flip7, the compromises in hardware left many unconvinced. Most voters believe they can find better value in other flip foldables from rival brands.
Samsung fans can look forward to our in-depth reviews of both models soon. Until then, check out our hands-on impressions to see what the Fold7 and Flip7 are all about.
