Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 & Flip7 Unveiled at Galaxy Unpacked: 200MP Camera, 10-Bit HDR, and Smarter Selfies
We’re reporting live from Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2025, where the tech giant just unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7—bringing major upgrades to their foldable lineup, especially in camera performance and video capabilities.
Galaxy Z Fold7: Flagship Imaging Meets Foldable Innovation
The Galaxy Z Fold7 introduces a massive 200MP Ultra camera using Samsung’s 1/1.3" ISOCELL HP2 sensor, promising exceptional detail and dynamic range. The rear camera setup includes:
200MP main sensor
10MP 3x telephoto
12MP ultra-wide with autofocus (now supports macro photography)
Selfie Camera Updates:
Internal display: 10MP wide-angle (100°) punch-hole camera replaces the under-display sensor
Cover display: 10MP, narrower 85° lens
We tested various 2x and 3x zoom shots, ultrawide images, and macro close-ups. The upgraded internal selfie cam also delivered wide, immersive selfies.
Galaxy Z Flip7: Classic Form, Smarter Features
The Galaxy Z Flip7 sticks to its fan-favorite form but boosts its camera smarts:
50MP main sensor
12MP ultra-wide (great for cover-screen selfies)
10MP selfie camera inside (85°)
New software features bring auto-framing and image adjustment for hands-free selfies—turning the Flip7 into its own tripod.
We took some 2x cropped zooms, ultrawide photos, and fun selfies using the 4.1” cover screen.
10-bit HDR Video Support on Both Models
A major camera upgrade: both the Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 now support 10-bit HDR video, delivering richer colors, better contrast, and an overall cinematic look. 4K remains standard for now, but the HDR feature is a welcome boost for content creators.
