Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has expressed strong confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will continue to receive divine guidance and wisdom to steer Nigeria's development journey through 2031.

Speaking during an inspection of major bridge projects in Lagos, including the Carter Bridge scheduled for reconstruction next week, Umahi said he believes God will remain with the President in tackling the nation's challenges, especially insecurity.

"The same God that brought him will continue to guide him and help solve all the problems," Umahi declared, urging Nigerians to support the administration's efforts to restore peace and drive national progress.

According to the minister, every leader desires a peaceful tenure, but true leadership is tested by the ability to confront challenges when they arise.

"No leader wants instability, but when crises come, a responsible government must face them head-on. That is exactly what we are doing," he said.

Umahi maintained that regardless of the causes behind the country's security issues, Tinubu would receive the strength, wisdom, and grace needed to overcome them and move Nigeria forward.

The minister also expressed confidence that all projects initiated by the current administration would be completed successfully.

"The hands that started these projects will complete them," he said, describing the government as one that continues to enjoy divine favour.

On the Carter Bridge reconstruction, Umahi revealed that the project is expected to be completed within three years as part of the administration's broader five-year infrastructure development plan.Headline options:
