Abuja, Nigeria – Prominent Nigerian lawmakers, including Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, and Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, have been named among the distinguished legislators to be honoured at the 2026 National Legislative Awards, scheduled to take place on July 9, 2026, in Abuja.
The prestigious event, organised by HallowMace Africa in partnership with ERGAF Africa, the International Goodwill Ambassador Club, and the IsabellaAyuk Foundation, aims to celebrate outstanding leadership, parliamentary excellence, and exceptional public service.
Celebrating Excellence in Nigeria's Legislature
With the theme "Celebrating Distinguished Leadership, Parliamentary Excellence, and Public Service," the awards will recognise lawmakers, parliamentary staff, legislative aides, and journalists who have made significant contributions to strengthening Nigeria's democratic institutions.
According to a statement signed by the Head of Public Communications Desk of HallowMace Africa, Ambassador Oguh Hyginus John, the winners were selected through a transparent process that combined public online voting with consultations involving key parliamentary stakeholders.
These stakeholders included the National Assembly Press Corps, the Nigerian Conference of Speakers, the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), and the National Assembly Legislative Aides Forum (NASLAF).
