According to the police, the case was reported to ‘E’ Division, Yelwa, Bauchi, on *July 5th, 2026 at 10:14 PM* by the victim’s 32-year-old mother.
The mother, who resides at Dorawan Dillalai area of Bauchi, alleged that the suspect lured her daughter into his room earlier that day at about *12:11 PM* and committed the act.
“Upon receipt of the report, police operatives immediately swung into action. The victim was taken to the Police Clinic for medical examination and treatment,” the statement read.
Suspect Attacked By Angry Mob, Case Transferred To SCID*
The police added that the suspect was also taken to the same hospital for treatment after he was allegedly assaulted by members of the community before his arrest. He has since been discharged.
The Command said the case has now been transferred to the *Gender Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID*, for further investigation and prosecution.
CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu Condemns Act, Promises Justice*
The Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, *CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu*, strongly condemned the alleged offence.
He assured residents that the Command remains committed to protecting children and vulnerable persons, and that justice will be served in accordance with the law.
