Speaking on behalf of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, House Majority Leader Prof. Julius Ihonvbere said the 10th House has deliberately placed youth empowerment and inclusion at the centre of its legislative agenda.

He explained that the Youth Town Hall has evolved into more than an annual gathering, becoming a platform where young Nigerians directly influence national policies and legislative reforms.

According to him, recommendations from previous editions have already shaped constitutional amendment proposals and other key national policies currently before the National Assembly.

- Reforms in education financing, taxation, electricity, cybersecurity, and the digital economy to promote jobs, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Minister of Youth Development Ayodele Olawande commended the National Assembly for creating a platform that allows young Nigerians to engage directly with lawmakers.

He said the Federal Government is implementing programmes to increase youth participation in governance while expanding access to entrepreneurship support, vocational training, digital skills, affordable financing, and green economy opportunities.

Among the initiatives are the Nigerian Youth Academy, youth enterprise support programmes, digital skills projects, and the proposed Youth Green Fund.

NASENI Offers Up to ₦250 Million for Innovators

Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NASENI, Khalil Halilu, encouraged Nigerian youths to embrace innovation, technology, and artificial intelligence to drive economic transformation.

He disclosed that NASENI's Innovate Nigeria Programme provides grants of up to ₦250 million to support innovators, inventors, startups, and technology-driven businesses capable of solving national challenges.

He urged young people to continuously develop their skills and seize emerging opportunities in the global digital economy.
