Seyi Tinubu Calls for Massive Grassroots Mobilization Ahead of 2027, Sets 10 Million Vote Target
As political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of Nigeria's 2027 general elections, Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has called on supporters of the President to intensify grassroots mobilization across the country.
Speaking during a gathering of supporters in Abuja on Monday alongside Hon. Francis Shoga, Seyi urged members of the movement to move beyond online discussions and actively engage with Nigerians in their communities.
According to him, politics rewards those who are willing to organize, communicate, and connect directly with the people. He encouraged supporters to become ambassadors of the administration by sharing accurate information, listening to citizens' concerns, and promoting responsible leadership.
«"This is the time to organize, mobilize, and take our message to every street, every community, and every household," Seyi Tinubu said.»
He further challenged members to serve as communicators, educators, mobilizers, and ambassadors of hope by engaging Nigerians with facts, empathy, and constructive dialogue.
Francis Shoga Sets Ambitious 10 Million Vote Goal
Also speaking at the event, Hon. Francis Shoga outlined what he described as a clear mission for the movement, setting an ambitious target of securing 10 million votes in support of President Tinubu's re-election bid.
According to Shoga, achieving such a milestone will require consistent grassroots engagement rather than relying solely on campaign slogans or social media activities.
"Our mission is clear. Our target is 10 million votes," he stated.
He emphasized that success would depend on building strong local structures, meaningful community engagement, and the dedication of supporters across Nigeria.
Shoga also encouraged every supporter to recruit others into the movement, stressing that collective participation would determine the campaign's success.
Reflecting on the significance of the moment, he urged members to seize the opportunity to contribute to what he described as a historic political movement.
2027 Political Activities Begin to Gather Pace
Although the 2027 presidential election is still some time away, political stakeholders across Nigeria have increasingly begun mobilizing supporters and strengthening party structures.
Analysts believe that early grassroots engagement could play a significant role in shaping voter perception and campaign effectiveness as political competition intensifies in the coming months.
The Abuja meeting highlights the growing focus on community-based political organization as parties prepare for what is expected to be another closely watched election cycle.
