AirPods 4 and Pro 2 Get Studio Audio, Camera Control & More in iOS 26 Update

Apple Unveils AirPods 4 and AirPods Pro 2 Upgrades: Studio-Quality Audio & Camera Remote in iOS 26

At today’s WWDC 2025 keynote, Apple introduced powerful new features for the AirPods 4, AirPods 4 with ANC, and AirPods Pro 2, making them even more useful for creators, professionals, and everyday users.
One standout addition is studio-quality audio recording — ideal for podcasters, vloggers, interviewers, and musicians. This feature uses Voice Isolation to reduce background noise, delivering cleaner, clearer recordings even in busy or noisy environments.

Apple also claims "more natural vocal texture and clarity" for iPhone calls, FaceTime, and CallKit apps, with improved call quality when AirPods are paired with iPhone, iPad, or Mac. The benefits extend to Camera app recordings, Voice Memos, dictation in Messages, and video conferencing apps like Webex and compatible third-party camera apps.

Another exciting addition is Camera Remote Control. When using the Camera app or supported third-party apps, users can press and hold the AirPods stem to snap a photo or start/stop video recording — a subtle but handy feature for content creators and selfie lovers.

These updates will roll out via the Apple Beta Software Program starting next month, and will officially launch with iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe 26 later this year.
