Apple WWDC 2025 Preview: iOS 26, macOS Tahoe, AI Tools & New Gaming Hub Incoming

We’re officially just one week away from Apple’s WWDC 2025, where Cupertino will unveil the next generation of its software platforms. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the keynote will focus on iOS 26, macOS 26 “Tahoe”, and a few carefully curated AI enhancements.
Limited AI Rollout at WWDC 2025

After last year’s delayed rollout of Apple Intelligence (AI), Apple is expected to tone down its AI announcements. That said, the company will reportedly open up its on-device Apple Foundation Models to third-party developers. These models will support up to 3 billion parameters, enabling features like text summarization and smart auto-correct within apps.

What’s New in iOS 26?

iOS 26 is set to bring a new battery power management mode, a revamped Translate app with AirPods and Siri integration, and a visionOS-inspired redesign — considered one of the biggest UI overhauls in iOS history.

Other notable updates include AI features in Safari and Photos apps, although Apple’s LLM-powered Siri and upgraded Shortcuts app won’t be ready for public preview just yet.

macOS 26 "Tahoe"

Keeping with the tradition of California-themed names, macOS 26 will reportedly be called “Tahoe”, named after the iconic Lake Tahoe. It’s expected to adopt a visionOS-inspired visual refresh and bring under-the-hood performance enhancements.
New Apple Gaming App Replaces Game Center
One standout addition will be a new unified Apple Gaming app, set to replace Game Center. The new app will roll out across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and tvOS, offering a centralized hub for accessing games, tracking leaderboards, and social features like chatting with friends.

Stay tuned as WWDC 2025 kicks off next week with more surprises likely to drop.
