Google Pixel 10 Series Tipped to Launch on August 13 with Tensor G5 Chip and Android 16
It looks like Google is sticking to tradition—the Pixel 10 series is now rumored to launch on August 13, exactly one year after the Pixel 9 lineup was introduced. Although earlier reports hinted at an earlier debut, this new leak suggests Google is holding steady with its lucky date.
The Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro are shaping up to be major upgrades, especially under the hood. The smartphones will reportedly be powered by the Tensor G5 chipset, Google's next-gen SoC, and the first in the Tensor lineup to be manufactured by TSMC instead of Samsung. This switch could bring noticeable improvements in performance, thermal efficiency, and power management.
In addition, the Pixel 10 series is expected to ditch Samsung’s Exynos modem in favor of a MediaTek modem, while still retaining support for satellite connectivity, as previously reported.
Key Expected Features of the Google Pixel 10 Series:
Launch Date: August 13, 2025 (rumored)
Chipset: Tensor G5 (manufactured by TSMC)
Modem: MediaTek (replacing Samsung Exynos modem)
OS: Android 16 out of the box
Connectivity: Satellite support expected
Display: Possibly higher PWM dimming rate for reduced eye strain
With Android 16’s official release expected this month, the Pixel 10 family will almost certainly ship with the latest software and all of its new features.
As usual, Google is expected to tease more about the Pixel 10 series in the coming weeks, and we’ll be watching closely.
