Google Pixel 10 Series to Feature Faster Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner – Launch Expected August 20

The Google Pixel 10 series is shaping up to offer better biometric performance, thanks to an upgraded ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. Building on the foundation laid by last year’s Pixel 9 series, which introduced ultrasonic fingerprint sensors to some models, the upcoming Pixel 10 lineup is set to take it further with even faster and more reliable unlocking, even in tricky conditions like wet fingers.
According to Android Headlines, while the specific supplier of the new scanner remains unknown, users can expect a noticeably smoother password-less login experience.

Google is also sticking with its face recognition technology, which, although not quite as advanced as Apple’s Face ID, is now reliable enough to be supported by many banking apps.
The Pixel 10 series is rumored to launch on August 20, and could include the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Interestingly, the Fold model is expected to retain a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, just like last year’s Pixel Fold.

Pixel 9 Pro Fold Pricing (for comparison):

256GB + 16GB RAM – $1,174.99

512GB + 16GB RAM – $1,919.00

Stay tuned for more updates as the launch date approaches!
