Google Pixel 10 Series to Launch August 20 with Tele-Macro Camera, Tensor G5, and Qi2 Wireless Charging

Google is gearing up to unveil the Pixel 10 series on August 20, and a fresh leak today sheds light on a new camera feature that’s bound to excite photography enthusiasts — telephoto lenses with macro capabilities.
Tele-Macro Camera: The Best of Both Worlds

The upcoming Pixel 10 will feature a tele-macro camera, allowing users to take detailed close-up shots using the telephoto lens. Interestingly, the devices will also retain ultrawide cameras with autofocus, continuing to support macro photography from both ends of the zoom range.

Here’s the logic:

Use the tele-macro lens for most close-up shots for superior quality.

If your subject is too close for the telephoto’s minimum focusing distance, the ultrawide lens will step in (with slightly lower quality but still a macro win).
What Else to Expect:

Availability: Pixel 10 series devices are expected to hit shelves on August 28.

Performance Boost: Powered by the Tensor G5 chip, built by TSMC (not Samsung), promising better efficiency and performance.

Qi2 Wireless Charging: All Pixel 10 phones will support Qi2, though without built-in magnets. Instead, Google’s official cases will house the magnetic rings to enable Qi2's alignment features.

New Color Options: Expect fresh Pixel colorways, with more variety than previous generations.

With the addition of tele-macro, TSMC-based Tensor G5, and Qi2 charging, the Pixel 10 lineup is shaping up to be a significant upgrade.
