Honor Magic V5 Set to Launch on July 2 with Ultra-Slim Foldable Design and 200MP Periscope Camera
Honor has officially confirmed the launch date of its next-generation foldable flagship — the Honor Magic V5 — set to debut in China on July 2. Ahead of the event, Honor has shared design teasers and press images, giving fans an early look at what could be the slimmest foldable phone yet.
According to official specs, the Magic V5 will measure just 8.8mm when folded, matching the thickness of Honor’s Magic 7 Pro — a remarkable engineering feat for a foldable.
The shared press images reveal a refreshed look, featuring a new gold colorway, a textured back panel, and a redesigned hinge. A large camera module is present, housing what seems to be three sensors — likely a main camera, a periscope telephoto (rumored to be a 200MP sensor), and an ultrawide lens.
Honor also released a short design video showcasing the Magic V5’s premium aesthetics and sleek build.
In terms of specs, leaks suggest the Magic V5 will offer an 8-inch main foldable screen and a 6.45-inch external display. Under the hood, it’s expected to pack Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version processor, a 6,100 mAh battery, and 66W fast charging.
With its slim profile, powerful internals, and stylish design, the Honor Magic V5 is shaping up to be a serious contender in the foldable market.
