Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 Leaks Show Thinner, Lighter Foldable with Larger Displays Ahead of July 9 Launch

Samsung’s next-gen foldable, the Galaxy Z Fold7, is expected to launch on July 9, and recent leaks have painted a nearly complete picture of what’s to come. Now, a hands-on look — albeit of a dummy unit — gives us our best visual yet of the Z Fold7’s sleek redesign.
The dummy, showcased by Korean YouTube channel TheSINZA, is based on leaks and CAD renders. It may not be an official unit, but it closely resembles what Samsung is expected to unveil. When compared to its predecessor, the Z Fold7 looks notably thinner and more refined.
According to leaks, the Galaxy Z Fold7 will measure just 9mm when folded and an incredible 4.5mm when unfolded, a significant reduction from the 12.1mm/5.6mm profile of the Z Fold6. Even more impressive is its rumored weight of just 215g, making it lighter than both the Z Fold6 (239g) and even the Galaxy S25 Ultra (218g).
Despite the smaller footprint, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is expected to boast larger and more usable displays. The outer display is said to be a 6.5-inch panel with a 21:9 aspect ratio, while the main foldable screen grows to 8.2 inches and replaces the under-display camera with a more traditional punch-hole selfie camera.

Under the hood, the Z Fold7 will reportedly be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, with storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. Color variants include Blue Shadow and Jet Black.

With its thinner body, lighter design, and improved displays, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is shaping up to be Samsung’s most refined foldable yet.
