iOS 26 Beta 2 Brings Liquid Glass Fixes, New Safari Tab Button, and Enhanced Accessibility
Apple has rolled out iOS 26 Beta 2 for developers, addressing several early complaints about the new Liquid Glass design while also introducing quality-of-life improvements across the system.
Visual & Accessibility Enhancements
The Liquid Glass effect, introduced in iOS 26, now offers improved legibility:
Control Center gets a darker background and stronger blur to enhance readability.
The “Reduce Transparency” option under Accessibility is now more effective, making text and icons clearer across menus.
Safari & Wallet Updates
The “+” New Tab button in Safari has been repositioned to the bottom left, near the URL bar for easier access.
The Wallet app now supports package tracking, with Siri able to scan emails for tracking numbers automatically.
Other Notable iOS 26 Beta 2 Features
New "Alt 1" ringtone added
Apple Music gets a Live Radio widget
App Store listings now feature a dedicated Accessibility section to highlight inclusive app features
Release Timeline
Apple is expected to launch the iOS 26 public beta in July, with the final consumer release scheduled for fall 2025, likely alongside the iPhone 17 series.
