Opel Rocks Unveiled: Germany’s €7,990 Electric Microcar Is Just a Rebadged Citroën Ami

Stellantis continues its tradition of rebadging vehicles across its brands, and the latest example is the Opel Rocks—essentially a Citroën Ami with a new badge.
Now available in Germany, the Opel Rocks starts at €7,990, or you can lease it for €45/month over two years (limited to 5,000 km/year). A higher trim—the Rocks GS—is available for €8,790, offering extras like a smartphone holder, dashboard storage boxes, passenger bag hook, door nets, hubcaps, and all-weather floor mats.
This electric quadricycle, with its 6 kW (8 hp) motor, is classified as a light vehicle in Germany, meaning teens aged 15 and up can drive it with a special license. Its 75 km range is ideal for short city commutes, and charging is hassle-free—just plug it into a standard socket and you're fully juiced up in 4 hours, thanks to its built-in 3-meter charging cable.
