Opel Unveils Grandland Electric AWD: Brand’s Most Powerful EV Yet With 321 HP and 500 KM Range
Opel has quietly launched its most powerful production vehicle ever—the Opel Grandland Electric AWD. Surprisingly, it isn’t a performance-badged GSe model but rather a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive electric SUV boasting a combined 321 horsepower and 509 Nm of torque.
Built on the same Stellantis platform as the Peugeot e-3008, this new flagship EV features a 210 HP front motor and 111 HP rear motor, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in just 6.1 seconds. Drivers can switch between Eco, Normal, Sport, and AWD modes for a tailored driving experience. The chassis is uniquely tuned by Opel engineers with frequency selective damping, bespoke springs, and adaptive stability controls for dynamic performance and comfort.
Powering the Grandland Electric AWD is a 73 kWh battery, delivering up to 500 km (WLTP) on a single charge—putting it squarely in competition with premium EV SUVs in Europe.
Styling updates are subtle but effective. Opel has added sport-inspired front and rear bumpers with aerodynamic carbon-style elements, while 20-inch two-tone alloy wheels complete the look. The result is a drag coefficient of 0.278 Cd, making it the most aerodynamic Grandland ever.
Interestingly, Opel has chosen not to apply the GSe badge, even though this electric SUV outperforms the previous Grandland GSe plug-in hybrid (296 HP). The move raises questions, but the performance speaks for itself.
The Opel Grandland Electric AWD sets a new benchmark for the brand—combining everyday usability with silent, all-electric power and sporty dynamics.
