Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 Launch Tipped for Mid-July with Better Specs – But at a Higher Price

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event was previously rumored to take place in early July in New York, where the company is expected to unveil its next-generation foldables – the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7. However, a new rumor has thrown a curveball, suggesting the event will actually happen in mid-July instead.
As of now, no concrete date has been confirmed, but the new leak sheds light on what to expect from the Galaxy Z Fold7. According to a tipster on X (formerly Twitter), the Fold7 will bring camera improvements, larger displays, and enhanced battery life. But all of these upgrades may come at a steeper price compared to the Fold6.

Adding to the confusion, Samsung recently teased several "Ultra" features, sparking speculation that an Ultra variant of the Fold7 could debut. However, those rumors have since been debunked. It appears the Ultra-level features will be integrated into the regular Fold7, contributing to the expected price hike.
Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 "Elite" chipset is rumored to power the Fold7, even though its successor is expected to be announced just a couple of months later in September. That timing might not be ideal for consumers wanting the latest tech for their money.

With premium foldables becoming even more premium, it seems the dream of a truly affordable foldable phone remains elusive — at least for now.
