Samsung Teases Galaxy Z Fold7 Ultra: Slim Design, Flagship Camera & July Launch Expected
Samsung has finally confirmed long-standing rumors by teasing the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold7 Ultra, expected to launch later this year alongside the standard Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, and the affordable Z Flip7 FE. According to reports, Samsung will unveil its new foldables at an in-person event in New York in early July.
The Z Fold7 Ultra teaser highlights a slim profile, though exact measurements remain unknown. What we do know is that it will be thinner than the current Galaxy Z Fold6, which unfolds to 5.6mm, and even slimmer than the Z Fold Special Edition (aka Samsung W25 in China), which comes in at just 4.9mm unfolded.
Samsung is also making bold claims, promising a best-in-class camera system on the Fold7 Ultra—a strong statement considering the impressive performance of the vivo X Fold3 Pro.
This Ultra model was originally expected with the Fold6 lineup last year, but was ultimately shelved. Instead, Samsung introduced the Z Fold Special Edition exclusively in South Korea and China, featuring larger displays (8-inch main, 6.5-inch cover), a 200MP main camera, 16GB RAM, and a lightweight, ultra-thin body.
With the Fold7 Ultra, Samsung seems ready to push the limits of foldable tech in both design and photography, potentially setting a new benchmark in the premium foldable market.
