Samsung Wallet Adds Support for Mercedes-Benz Digital Car Keys Starting July
Samsung continues to strengthen its Samsung Wallet platform, and the latest upgrade brings exciting news for car owners. Beginning in July, select Mercedes-Benz owners will be able to store digital car keys in Samsung Wallet, allowing them to unlock and start their cars without physical keys.
This feature uses Bluetooth LE and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology, meaning it's only available on high-end Galaxy smartphones. While not all Mercedes models will support the feature, Samsung promises broader compatibility than what we've seen with Volvo and Polestar, which are limited to specific models and markets.
Samsung Wallet already supports digital car keys for BMW, Mini, Audi, and the Hyundai Group, and the Mercedes-Benz integration signals a continued push toward seamless, keyless mobility.
The full list of supported Mercedes models is expected to be revealed soon as the rollout begins next month.
