Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Debuts in Gran Turismo 7 – First Chinese EV to Join the Legendary Racing Game
Xiaomi has accelerated into a new arena—virtual motorsports. The company’s first electric car, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, is now officially available in Gran Turismo 7, marking a historic first as the only Chinese-manufactured vehicle ever featured in the iconic PlayStation racing simulator.
For over two decades, Gran Turismo, developed by Polyphony Digital and led by Kazunori Yamauchi, has set the gold standard for racing realism. Being added to this digital garage places the SU7 alongside giants like Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Porsche—a clear sign of how far Chinese EV innovation has come.
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is no ordinary EV. Designed for blistering performance, it features a three-motor setup, including Xiaomi's own V8s motor spinning up to 27,200 rpm. With 1,548 horsepower, the SU7 Ultra rockets from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.98 seconds, topping out at 350 km/h+. Its high-performance credentials are backed by lap records across global circuits.
Even more exciting, Xiaomi is collaborating with Gran Turismo to develop a Vision GT concept car—an exclusive futuristic design for the game that could push design and performance beyond real-world limitations.
This milestone isn't just a gaming achievement—it’s a cultural breakthrough. It signifies the global rise of Chinese automakers and how tech companies like Xiaomi are now influencing automotive design and performance on a world stage.
