Xiaomi Teases New Smart Glasses for First-Person Video Recording Ahead of Major Launch Event
Xiaomi is set to unveil a new pair of smart glasses tomorrow, adding to its growing lineup that includes the Snapdragon-powered AR glasses from 2022, the wireless AR prototype from MWC 2023, and the Smart Audio Glasses. This upcoming model is focused squarely on first-person perspective (FPV) video recording, based on teaser content shared on Xiaomi’s official Weibo account.
The teaser shows a sleek pair of glasses, emphasizing hands-free video capture that allows users to "immerse themselves in the moment" while recording and sharing their unique point of view.
Xiaomi’s smart glasses will go head-to-head with the Oakley Meta HSTN smart glasses and the Ray-Ban Meta line, both of which offer smart camera integration and wearable tech features.
The launch will be part of a major Xiaomi event scheduled for tomorrow, which will also showcase:
Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 – the company’s next-gen foldable
Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro – a powerful new tablet
Xiaomi Watch S4 (41mm) – a new size variant for the popular smartwatch
Xiaomi Band 10 – the latest in Xiaomi’s fitness tracker series
Expect full specs and pricing details to be revealed during the livestream.
