Xiaomi YU7 Electric SUV Debuts With Supercar Speed, 835km Range, and Aggressive Pricing
After the success of its SU7 sedan, Xiaomi is back with its second electric vehicle — the Xiaomi YU7, a premium all-electric SUV aimed squarely at the Tesla Model Y. The YU7 combines bold styling, cutting-edge tech, and a price tag that could shake up the family EV segment in China and beyond.
The YU7, meaning “riding the wind” in Mandarin, is a full-size SUV with commanding dimensions: 4,999mm length, 3,000mm wheelbase, and a powerful stance. Three trims are available:
YU7 (RWD): 320hp, 835km range, 0–100 km/h in 5.88s
YU7 Pro (AWD): 496hp, 770km range, 0–100 km/h in 4.27s
YU7 Max (AWD): 690hp, 760km range, 0–100 km/h in 3.23s
All models are built on an 800V architecture for ultra-fast charging (10–80% in just 12–21 mins), with LFP or NMC battery packs ranging from 96.5kWh to 101.7kWh.
Inside, Xiaomi's tech DNA takes center stage with a 1.1-meter panoramic Mini-LED “HyperVision” display, NVIDIA Drive Thor chipset, Dolby Atmos 25-speaker audio system, zero-gravity massage seats, and even an optional built-in mini fridge.
On the safety front, the YU7 packs LiDAR, 4D radar, and a 2,200 MPa roll cage, along with UWB Apple key support, armored batteries, and Xiaomi’s XiaoAI assistant for remote voice commands.
Pricing (China):
YU7 RWD: RMB 253,500 (~€30,150)
YU7 Pro AWD: RMB 279,900 (~€33,300)
YU7 Max AWD: RMB 329,900 (~€39,240)
With aggressive pricing, top-tier performance, and Xiaomi’s connected ecosystem, the YU7 could become a serious Tesla challenger and another breakout hit in China’s competitive EV market.
