Xiaomi YU7 Electric SUV Debuts with Deep Apple Ecosystem Integration: iPhone, Apple Watch & iPad Support

Xiaomi has unveiled its second all-electric SUV, the Xiaomi YU7, just days after launch — and it's not just the car that’s turning heads. Alongside the new model, Xiaomi Auto rolled out major software upgrades designed specifically for Apple users.

The YU7 (and the existing SU7) now support iPhone digital car keys, including UWB unlocking for compatible models. Users can even control key functions remotely — like starting the A/C — and Xiaomi now supports iPhone Action Button functions and Dynamic Island integration via the updated Xiaomi Auto app.

The in-car infotainment system includes enhanced Apple Music support and a secure CarPlay launch with PIN input. Even Apple Watch users get control of in-car features, while iPads can now be used as rear-seat entertainment systems.

This move shows Xiaomi's commitment to a more open, cross-platform future, offering tight integration with Apple’s ecosystem despite being direct tech rivals.
