Google Pixel Watch 4 to Feature Side-Mounted Charger, Faster Charging & Up to 3000 Nits Brightness

As the Pixel Watch 4 nears its official debut alongside the Pixel 10 series, new leaks reveal a significant design change — a brand-new charger. According to sources at Android Headlines, the Pixel Watch 4 will ditch the rear charging connectors used in previous models in favor of a side-mounted charging system.
Side-Mounted Charger: What's New

The leaked images suggest that the watch must be placed sideways into a charging dock, utilizing two connectors located beside the speaker, which is opposite the digital crown. This setup replaces the rear-mounted connectors seen on the Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Watch 2.

While earlier leaks hinted at possible wireless charging due to the clean back design, it now appears that Google opted for a practical redesign, offering improved charging visibility — perfect for viewing the watch face while it's on your bedside table.

Even better, the Pixel Watch 4 is said to charge 25% faster than its predecessor, making it one of the fastest-charging smartwatches in its class.
