Honor Magic V5 Unboxing: The Thinnest Foldable Yet with Snapdragon 8 Elite & 5,820mAh Battery
After weeks of anticipation, Honor has officially launched the Honor Magic V5 in China as the direct successor to last year’s Magic V3. This sleek foldable smartphone brings flagship-level power in an impressively slim design — and we've got the Ivory White model in our hands for an exclusive unboxing.
Unboxing the Honor Magic V5
Right out of the box, the Magic V5 impresses with its ultra-thin build and premium feel. The Ivory White version is the lightest and thinnest of the bunch, measuring just 4.1mm unfolded and 8.8mm folded, weighing in at 217g — a full 9g lighter than the Magic V3.
Despite the slimmer form, Honor has packed a larger 5,820mAh battery (up to 6,100mAh in the Chinese variant) compared to the Magic V3's 5,150mAh. That’s a notable achievement, especially considering the increased power demands of foldables.
Design and Display
The Honor Magic V5 is available in Ivory White, Black, Dawn Gold, and Reddish Brown. It features a 7.95" inner foldable display and a 6.43" external cover screen, perfect for multitasking and everyday use.
Performance
Under the hood, it’s powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage — making it one of the most powerful foldables on the market.
Pricing (Magic V3 Reference)
While Magic V5 pricing is yet to be confirmed globally, last year’s Magic V3 launched at:
$1,550 – 256GB + 12GB RAM
$1,684.99 – 512GB + 12GB RAM
