Honor X70 Launching July 15 with 8,300mAh Battery, IP69K Durability, and Snapdragon 6 Gen 4
Honor is all set to unveil its rugged-yet-sleek Honor X70 on July 15, and the brand has gone all-in on durability teasers leading up to the launch. One viral video shows the upcoming device surviving everything from excavator abuse to fire hose blasts, proving it’s built like a tank—even if it doesn't look like one.
Honor X70 vs. Excavator: An Unlikely Durability Test
In a dramatic durability showcase, the Honor X70 was:
Affixed to the bucket of a Sany SY205C-S excavator
Dragged through dirt and gravel
Flung through the air after a direct hit from the bucket
Pressed down by the full weight of the machine
Despite all of this, the phone emerged fully functional and undamaged, thanks in part to its IP69 and IP69K water/dust resistance ratings—the highest level of ingress protection found on any mainstream smartphone today.
Fire Hose Test? No Problem.
Honor didn't stop there. In another teaser, the X70 was blasted by a high-pressure fire hose, again shrugging it off like it was nothing. Most other items in the test didn’t survive.
