Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025) Launched with Sharper PaperMatte Display, Bigger Battery, Kirin 8020 & HarmonyOS 4.3

Alongside the global debut of the Huawei Pura 80 series, Huawei also unveiled an upgraded version of its popular tablet — meet the Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025). This refreshed model builds on the 2023 version with a sharper display, enhanced PaperMatte technology, a bigger battery, faster charging, and a more powerful in-house Kirin chip.
The new 11.5-inch IPS LCD boasts a resolution bump to 2,450 x 1,600 pixels (256 ppi), up from 2,200 x 1,200px, and supports a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 600 nits brightness with DC dimming. The optional PaperMatte Edition features nano-etching that cuts reflections by 60% and reduces light interference by 99%, plus a circular polarization filter that improves visibility — even when wearing sunglasses.

The tablet now supports the 3rd-gen Huawei M-Pencil, which uses AI to refine handwriting, summarize notes, and enhance sketching precision — ideal for students, professionals, and creatives alike.
Despite being slimmer at 6.1mm (down from 6.9mm), the tablet has gained a bit of weight at 515g (from 499g) due to a massive 10,100mAh battery, up from 7,700mAh. It promises up to 14 hours of streaming and now supports 40W Huawei SuperCharge for faster top-ups.
The 2025 model ditches the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 in favor of Huawei’s Kirin 8020 processor, paired with 8GB RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. Cooling is improved thanks to a 67% larger graphite sheet, boosting thermal efficiency during heavy use.

Running on HarmonyOS 4.3, the tablet enables multi-window multitasking via Floating Window and makes file sharing between your phone, PC, and tablet a breeze using SuperHub.
Audio and connectivity also see major upgrades. The quad-speaker setup offers immersive sound, while redesigned antennas improve Wi-Fi throughput by 30%. The tablet supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 (LDAC HD), and comes with a USB-C 2.0 port.

Camera-wise, you get a 13MP rear shooter (f/1.8, autofocus) and an 8MP front-facing camera for video calls and selfies.
The Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025) is set to launch in Europe and other markets later this month.

The base 8GB + 128GB version is priced at €290
The PaperMatte Edition with 8GB + 256GB and the optional keyboard cover will retail for €430
