Xiaomi Delivers 300,000 EVs in Just 15 Months – SU7 & YU7 Drive Record Growth in China

Xiaomi Auto is making waves in the electric vehicle market with a milestone that has stunned the automotive industry—300,000 EV deliveries in just 15 months. The Chinese tech giant has proven it's more than ready to compete with established automakers, achieving this impressive feat at breakneck speed since its first car rolled out in March 2024.
On average, Xiaomi Auto has delivered 647 electric vehicles per day, or roughly 27 cars every hour. In 2025, the pace has picked up even more—averaging 840 deliveries per day, which equates to nearly 2 EVs every minute. This blistering growth places Xiaomi among the fastest-scaling EV manufacturers globally.

Xiaomi first announced its automotive ambitions back in 2021, and its debut EV, the SU7 electric sedan, officially launched in March 2024. The company reached its first 100,000 deliveries in just over 7 months, followed by another 100,000 in only four months, and the jump to 300,000 came just 3.5 months later.
The Xiaomi SU7 has been the cornerstone of this success. Its popularity is evident in the current delivery wait times:

SU7 Standard: 33–42 weeks

SU7 Ultra: 6–18 weeks

Meanwhile, Xiaomi's new SUV—the YU7—launched on June 26, with deliveries beginning July 6. It’s already gaining massive traction, with wait times between 40 and 60 weeks. This suggests the YU7 is poised to overtake the SU7 as Xiaomi’s primary sales driver moving forward.
With over 160,000 vehicles delivered in 2025 alone, Xiaomi is on track to hit its target of 350,000 units this year. To meet skyrocketing demand, the company is expanding production with its Phase 2 factory in Beijing, a move expected to significantly boost output.

Xiaomi’s rapid rise in the EV space highlights how tech companies are rewriting the rules of car manufacturing—and the rest of the industry is taking notice.
