Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Begins Internal Testing for Android 16-Based One UI 8

Samsung has officially begun internal testing of One UI 8 based on Android 16 for the upcoming Galaxy S24 FE. This follows earlier reports that the Galaxy A55 was the first mid-range model to start receiving the next major update.

The Galaxy S24 FE is currently being tested with firmware version S721BXXU6CYG1/S721BOXM6CYG1/S721BXXU6CYG1. While the firmware is not yet publicly available, it's notable that Samsung skipped the open beta for One UI 7 on the S24 FE earlier this year — suggesting the One UI 8 beta program may also bypass this model.
If Samsung follows a similar update cycle, we can expect the stable One UI 8 rollout for the S24 FE to arrive by the end of 2025, as One UI 7 was released for the device in April 2025.

As for the current pricing:

128GB / 8GB RAM – $649.99

256GB / 8GB RAM – $469.50 (discounted)
The Galaxy S24 FE continues to gain traction as a value flagship, and the One UI 8 update should enhance its appeal with new Android 16 features, UI tweaks, and under-the-hood improvements
