Abuja, Nigeria – BUA Group has officially dismissed widespread reports claiming that the company and its Chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, have submitted a bid to acquire a 70% stake in Kano Pillars Football Club.
In a statement issued on June 29, 2026, the conglomerate described the reports circulating online as false, misleading, and completely unfounded, urging the public to ignore the claims.

According to BUA Group, neither the company nor its Chairman has made any offer to purchase a stake in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, nor have they engaged in any discussions with individuals or organizations regarding such a transaction.

«"No such bid has been made, and there has been no engagement with any party on this matter," the company stated.»
