Relief at the Pump: U.S. Gas Prices Drop Below $4 as Oil Market Softens
For the first time in months, the national average gas price has fallen below $4 per gallon after topping $4.51 just a month ago, according to AAA.
Drivers in states like Georgia, Virginia, Kentucky, Missouri, and Minnesota are seeing even lower prices.
At the same time, oil is heading lower as additional supply hits the market. While the trend is welcome news for consumers, prices remain significantly higher than they were this time last year.
The price changes come as President Trump says Americans should expect to see gas and oil get even cheaper thanks to the administration’s new deal with Iran.
