Trump also joked that defense giant Lockheed Martin, the primary manufacturer of Patriot interceptor missiles, had not yet been informed of the decision.

Despite renewed diplomatic efforts, Russia launched another overnight assault on Kyiv using ballistic missiles and drones.

According to Ukrainian officials, air-defense forces intercepted 139 of 169 drones, but none of the five ballistic missiles were destroyed, highlighting the urgent need for additional Patriot systems.
