Garmin Index Sleep Monitor Launches as Smart Sleep Band with Advanced Health Tracking

Garmin has introduced the Index Sleep Monitor, a screenless smart band designed for comprehensive sleep tracking. Worn on the upper arm, this discreet device captures detailed sleep metrics, including sleep stages, sleep score, heart rate variability (HRV), breathing patterns, and SpO2 levels.
The Garmin Index is composed of a breathable nylon/spandex band and a removable sensor puck. While it doesn’t feature a display, the device automatically activates when worn to bed and pairs with your phone or Garmin watch via the Garmin Connect app.
Key features include a smart wake alarm that gently vibrates during light sleep, a skin temperature sensor, and women’s health monitoring. Garmin promises 7-day battery life, and the device is available in S-XL sizes for $170/€170/£150. Orders are now open on Garmin’s official website, with shipping in 3–5 weeks.
