Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 Leak as Slimmest Foldables Yet Ahead of Launch
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 are shaping up to be the brand’s slimmest and lightest foldable phones to date. According to trusted leakster Setsuna Digital, the Z Fold7 will measure just 8.9mm when folded and an impressively thin 4.2mm when unfolded—narrowly beating vivo’s X Fold5, which sits at 9.2mm folded and 4.3mm unfolded.
Weighing less and sporting an upgraded armored aluminum frame with a sleek glass ceramic back, the Z Fold7 promises both durability and a more refined design.
Not to be outdone, the Galaxy Z Flip7 is expected to measure 13.7mm when folded and only 6.5mm when opened, weighing just 188 grams—making it the slimmest flip-style foldable yet.
Meanwhile, leaked renders shared by Evan Blass give us our best look yet at both foldables’ sleek profiles. However, Z Fold7’s time as the thinnest foldable may be brief—Honor’s Magic V5, also launching this week, is rumored to come in even thinner at 8.8mm folded.
